Eskom’s making some adjustments folks, and it’s good news for the day-timers but night owls? Brace yourselves.

The Daytime Relief

For the next two days, our power guardians at Eskom are hitting the pause button on daytime load-shedding. But come evening, and those stage 2 power cuts will swoop in.

Eskom spills the beans: “As anticipated, with breakdowns at an improved 12,983MW of generation capacity and evening peak demand forecast at 28,382 MW, load-shedding will continue to be suspended until 16:00 today [Monday].”

Night-time Blues

Post that 16:00 breather, it’s back to the grind with stage 2 load-shedding which will linger till 05:00 on Tuesday. And if you’re wondering about the next two days, expect a repeat telecast.

A Glimmer of Optimism

We’ve been load-shedding free since 05:00 on Saturday, 30 September 2023. A record! It’s the longest Eskom has let us breathe easy since September 2022.
