Why It’s Significant: Proudly hosted by Kenya, who currently chairs the African Union’s special committee on climate change, the ACS is not just another gathering. It’s an African brainstorm. The summit’s aim? “The ACS will draw African Heads of State, global leaders, and multiple stakeholders…on climate change action and sustainability in Africa,” as revealed by the Ministry.
